Angle Globe Valve
Angle Globe Valve
Class :
PN16, PN40, Flanged End
An angle valve with PN16 or PN40 flanged ends is a type of industrial valve that is designed to change the direction of flow in a pipeline while regulating the flow of fluid or gas. The PN16 and PN40 pressure ratings refer to the maximum operating pressure that the valve can withstand, with PN16 valves designed for a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (232 psi) and PN40 valves designed for a maximum operating pressure of 40 bar (580 psi).
The angle valve is so named because the inlet and outlet ports are set at an angle of 90 degrees, which enables the valve to be installed in a pipeline at a right angle to the flow direction rather than in-line with the pipeline. This feature allows the valve to be used in applications where space is limited or where it is difficult to install an in-line valve.
Angle valves with PN16 or PN40 flanged ends are commonly used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications in the oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation industries. They are available in a range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys, to ensure compatibility with the fluid or gas being transported.
